The further we delve into this "Donception", the more obvious the obvious tricks become. Here, it seems, are the main strategies implemented jointly by the fundamentalist Christian far right, the tech billionaires (Musk, Thiel, etc.), and a few opportunists, all three of which are porous and therefore combinable:
- prepare a reactionary and populist program
- get a clown elected while adding your protégé to the ticket
- let the clown entertain the crowd while you implement your program
- When the machine is running smoothly, start getting rid of the clown if he becomes too cumbersome and make him take responsibility for everything that goes wrong.
- Let him explode in flight or send him to the retirement home and replace him with your man. Finish the job thanks to the many influential contacts you will have taken care to establish beforehand.
The first three points are already a reality: Project 2025 (point 1) is already largely in place and having a detrimental effect. We are now at the beginning of point 4, which will probably be fully realized by the end of the year, either before or after the midterm elections, depending on how useful and/or harmful the man is at that time. Everyone has finally noticed that Trump was talking nonsense, without much coherence, inventing words, mumbling, falling asleep in public. His medical problems have also been widely commented on. And now the Epstein files are back in the spotlight with more and more evidence that only confirms what we already knew: the US elected a crook at every level whose behavior is worse than anything we could have imagined.
Delirium
Remember, though, the Riviera in Gaza, the peace between Ukraine and Russia in 24 hours, his obsession with the Nobel Prize that he will be awarded by the real winner without even realizing that he is making a fool of himself, the FIFA Peace Prize, his various promotional campaigns (Trumpcoin, Tesla, Golden Card, various caps, Melania movie), price drops of 300, 500, 600%, like you buy your meds and the pharmacist pays you to get rid of them. And the guy is a businessman, not a crook? And the clown is sane?
The Greenland episode was undoubtedly the first straw that broke the camel's back. Incoherent babbling at a press conference the day before Davos. The guy shows you photos of alleged drug traffickers, which is as boring as watching Aunt Yvonne's slideshow after she gets back from vacation. You don't know when he's talking, when he's drooling, when he's about to fall asleep... The next day, he arrives in Davos and here we go again! He explains in Switzerland that all of Europe would speak German if the Americans hadn't come. It's as beautiful as a Michel Sardou song. The German-speaking Swiss must have loved it. He can't tell the difference between Iceland and Greenland, and it's not just a slip of the tongue, he repeats it four or five times. He makes fun of Macron's glasses, but he's so pathetic with his “Board Of Piss” (yet another sales pitch) that he almost makes Manu seem likeable (careful, I didn't say that...). And then, that same evening, he abandons his Arctic obsession, pretending he's negotiated the deal of the century. What a clown! And what should have been his moment of glory turns into a personal disaster.
We learn that, on the very same day, the Wall Street Journal advised him to seek therapy, and we see that quite a few Republicans are ready to abandon him at the slightest sign of weakness. That's the problem with big predators: when they're no longer feared, it's game over. All they can do is hang up their boots or get their asses kicked.
Dementia
Second drop of water: after the murder of Renée Good, ICE strikes again, this time killing a male nurse who worked in a hospital for veterans. The guy was shot in the back while he was on his knees and his weapon, which he had never drawn, had already been taken from him. He was trying to protect a protester, to avoid getting pepper spray in his eyes, and to film what was happening. So the fact that he was armed served as justification at first, like Renée Good's car, but now that the truth of what happened is coming out, they're a little pissed off. Well, yeah, you can't label an armed guy as woke, weak, etc. What's more, testimonials about his dedication to his work, his kindness, and the quality of his support are pouring in from all sides. Once again, Trump is backing down, sending a henchman to talk to Waltz, the governor of Minnesota, and shedding crocodile tears over these good American citizens whom he means no harm, even though he has been terrorizing them for weeks. He even goes so far as to demote the garden gnome who ran ICE in field operations, sending him back home with his tail between his legs. It was Bovino's “15 minutes of fame,” and he wasted it.
So yes, the emperor has been naked from the start, but it's starting to show. Even Melania is coming to his rescue (and to the rescue of her movie's flop), which says a lot... It's therefore reasonable to think that he will gradually be abandoned either by his sponsors, his political “friends,” his health, or all three at once. I wouldn't be surprised if we were told that “the president must now rest or fight a new battle against illness, etc.” All of this coming at just the right moment, of course. But beware, Vance has the same agenda, the same sponsors, the same nauseating ideas, the same feigned “Christian faith.” But he's less chaotic, more organized, and all the more dangerous because the bulldozer clown will have already done half the demolition work, clearing the way for him.
Wannabes
This pattern, which is fairly classic after all, will be repeated in France, albeit in a slightly different form. Here, it is not a clown who is being pushed into power, but an uneducated simpleton, now accompanied by Mrs. Niece, who suddenly remembers her clan. I just hope that what we are seeing—the futility, the inefficiency, the ridiculousness, the violence, the duplicity that has become the hallmark of this American year—will serve as a lesson, a foil, a warning to those who, legitimately disgusted by eight years of Macronism, might consider giving power to the far right in France. Like their fabulous American model, these people have no solutions and will only bring problems. They will divide society and sow hatred. They will improve no one's life but their own and that of their cronies because, like the others, once elected, they will be accountable only to their funders (Bolloré, Stérin, Arnault...) and will only solicit your support when you are useful to them.
Putting all your frustration, anger, and misunderstandings into your vote has only one consequence for the average citizen: making your life even worse. We have several authoritarian experiments right before our eyes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Don't blind yourselves, don't cover your ears, don't bury your heads in the sand or act indifferent (“notinterestedinpolitiks”), or else the day of the third monkey will come, the one who remains silent, covering his mouth with his hands because he has lost his freedom of speech.
Wesh Bro!
