Bephlitis?

Because cancer can be a real laugh.

At home, we have this 6-8 meter long bar that separates the kitchen from the rest of the living room. That's where we all end up in the evening at mealtime, with the cats, the dog, in short, everyone is there in 4 square meters and we chat about everything and nothing, about important things and total BS. Then, one evening, for a while, I couldn't say what I wanted to say. In my head everything was fine, the sentences were clear and coherent, but my tongue managed to distort the words, changing a letter here (hosmital), adding a sound there (rendez-voués) and with each new attempt came a new piece of nonsense. It stopped after 2 minutes, so it made us laugh a lot and it could have ended there except that... the next day, it started again! And then I decided (Here understand: “Marie calls our son-in-law, who is a surgeon, to get his advice, etc.”) well... I didn't really decide much 😉 .

Motorized diagnosis

Mr. Son-in-law, as is customary at this time of year, is making his annual pilgrimage to the winter sports resorts with three of his friends, who are also doctors, pulmonologists, etc. So we have a traveling and personalized diagnostic center at our disposal. After asking a few questions, the four members on the other end of the line strongly urge me to go to the hospital emergency room as soon as possible to have my head scanned, as they fear that I may have a blood clot that has traveled and that I may have a stroke. All family resources are activated, all channels are used to push me to act immediately. But it's once again Sunday evening, and given the law of procrastinatory inertia, I decide to wait until Monday morning to go Cochin's emergency department in Paris, because the one in Étampes, well... I've already been there. And besides, I feel that the emergency isn't that urgent, my body tells me that I can wait until Monday. What happened next proved him right, although I would like to take this opportunity to thank this group of amateur skiers once again for their expert advice from health professionals.
