Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, often called AOC, is a prominent figure in American politics. Elected to Congress in 2018, she is the youngest woman ever elected to the United States House of Representatives. A member of the Democratic Party, she is known for her progressive positions on issues such as climate change, social justice and economic inequality. Her dynamism and her use of social networks contributed to her popularity and influence within the party.
