Home / glossary / ultrasound

The ultrasound is a medical imaging technique that uses high frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of the body's internal organs. This technique is non-invasive and does not require X-rays or other forms of ionizing radiation. The ultrasound is commonly used for pregnancy imaging, but can also be used to diagnose other medical conditions, such as heart disease, liver disease and thyroid problems.
